KANAS ABACUS is part of KANAS ACADEMY which is based in Bangalore, we are into Preschool, Primary Teachers Training and Teaching of Mental Arithmetic based system using ABACUS with brain GYM, our aim is to ensure overall development of brain & mind program in the age group from 4 to 12 years.

Children have an amazing ability to learn, but their vast brain potential is not always nurtured to the fullest extent. With the proper guidance and tools, children as young as 4 or 5 are capable of mastering mathematical skills and calculating ability that will yield benefits that last a lifetime. “Learning Mathematics with the Abacus” is a set of books offering simple, enjoyable instructions for using the abacus, an ancient calculating device that provides modern children with valuable mental stimulation and proficiency in mathematics.

The children on completion of the course can handle very easily and swiftly any basic arithmetic operation. When children use both hands to move abacus beads in arithmetic calculations, it stimulates cells in both the right and left sides of the brain. This results in quick, balanced whole brain and mind development, leading to greater mental capabilities. Using the abacus a child can do arithmetic calculations without relying on any electronic gadgets.

Number formation 0-9.
Simple single digit addition & substation with abacus beads.
Addition and subtraction with 0 concepts.
2 digit number introduction in Abacus & Counting numbers with beads upto 99.
Counting & place value activities with Montessori colour beeds, golden beads, cards and counters through Montessori method.
Missing numbers, odd or even, skip counting, before, after & between numbers, smallest and biggest numbers, less than and greater than, numbers 2s, 5s and 10s, sorting, Count and compare. Number sequence. Join numbers, puzzle, crossword, word art, Stick laying, pattern making, maze, find the differences, picture in temporal sequences & domino’s.
Through the above activities abacus training and concepts will be easier to learn.

Course Details and Structures

First Level duration is 4 months, Second Level onwards each level
will be of 3 months.
There are 10 levels.
Each level will be of 3 months.
Classes will be of 2 hrs duration in a week.
There will be assessment examination and certificate will be issued after each level.
State level and National level competitions will be conducted once in a year.
Student kit includes (Books 1 set, Abacus instrument, Bag, T-shirt)
